Interview with Imogen Whittam — 2 Comments

  1. Enjoyed the podcast but you were right to ask about quasars. They were discovered by radio telescopes. Their original name was quasi-stellar radio sources. I learned about them in an introductory astronomy course in 1973. At that time they were still a mysterious object.

  2. Hi, I was just wondering if Imogen can mention what is done not just to track asteroids with possible path by earth, but also whether it is looked at to see if they might impact the moon. Given it’s importance to the earth an impact that put this out of orbit would surely also be a disaster?
